Fired nakedly from Work


On a cool brizzy sunday morning, my superior called me, in a calm voice. He said, " What do you think of your work?" With a breaking voice, I broke the silence, "Well!" I responded "we are moving on with work slowly, low traffic, a little flactuation but with great persistence and composure.

The conversation carried on. Till he dropped the bomb," Well, I shall be getting someone else to replace you!" Calm and composed, a smile broke in my face. Seemingly not surprised because I had seen it way back!" 

You shall go on an unpaid leave till further notice. Remaining calm and maintaining good posture I replied. "There is no problem!"

 Surprisingly, he was amazed. There was no pleading for another opportunity,or second chance nor anything that needed deliberations over the job. Based on a true story, I was my paying my team on my pay check. A team of Two extra more people. I walked out nakedly knowing that I will never return even when called back.


I allowed predestination to take it's shape. More than every before, I felt peace in my heart after being fired in the most formal and  most sarcastic manner.

The Pimple of Handing Over my Nine- Five Job!

On a Blissful Sunday afternoon, I read out my handover report to my superior. In my royal blue blazer with my name tag on. I opened my mouth. I won't forget that day,  my voice broke out as I read word by word.  It felt sweet, having all ears glued to me. With emotions running through my listeners. I never shade a tear both from the eyes of my heart and the eyes of my nose. I was relieved and glad. I was calm, kept composure. I was never this confident of where by destination lied. I was confident. Just like holding a glass of water to my throat. I was very sure. Deep down that I had done all my best, in sickness and in health. I had worked hook and crook. " Leave my man! leave my man! Do you want to buy him boxers?"  What!! This was a statement that came from one young lady who I perceived to have been young in mind. "I don't like this about you, I don't like that" Why are you talking to my man that way. Women threats over men have never ceased to stop!
